The Black Women Business Owners Directory Magazine is a professional magazine made by, for and featuring black women business owners.
16 years ago, The Founder, Cathy “CaDori” Marshall, had an idea that sprouted into a vision while frequently flying from Atlanta to Baltimore and back for work. Before each flight, CaDori would visit convenience stores in the airport before boarding the plane to purchase snacks and a business magazine to read during her flight.
After innumerable flights and business magazine purchases, she noticed that there were no business magazines featuring Black women and their businesses, and thought about the impact seeing Black women business owners— and all of the great things they are doing with their businesses— would have on the World.
Those thoughts never left her mind.
In November 2024, after launching the successful CaDori Brand, the I Love Me apparel line, and her Amazon best-selling book Ladies Love Yourselves First, That’s Happiness, CaDori embarked on a nationwide book tour to empower women. Inspired by this journey, she began researching how to create a signature publication dedicated to Black women in business.
The result: Black Women Business Owners Directory Magazine—a platform by, for, and featuring Black women entrepreneurs, designed to promote and elevate their businesses.
Founder Cathy “CaDori” Marshall’s mission is simple:
“Elevate and Collaborate—because we are stronger together.”
The magazine will be sold nationwide and featured in bookstores, businesses, and airports.
